It’s an exciting time at Cooper Parry, with heaps of growth and our Deals team are no exception.

Over the last two years the Transaction Services team within Deals have done phenomenal work. They have worked on over 40 deals, with 63% involving Private Equity and an average deal size of £8m, with the largest deal at £50m. 63% of their deals were with recurring clients, spread across a variety of industries – including Tech, Business Services and Client Services.

The team consist of 12 dedicated team members, but they are looking to grow their ranks with someone who is ambitious and commercially minded. Our clients really value the work we do, so this is definitely a role that will give you that sense of pride.

In the day to day you can expect…

• To review and analyse financial statements, management accounts, financial models etc.
• Prepare due diligence analysis, ensuring the data books are robust and accurate
• Support diligence meetings with the target business
• Support the prep of internal cost documents and track costs against budget
• Take responsibility of client deliverables, ensuring that review comments are processed
• Support project team during client discussions, including taking meeting notes/minutes as required
• Update project managers on a regular basis for significant items, trends or issues identified

In this role you will get good exposure to a variety of project work, and have the opportunity to work on commercial deals that you will hear about in the press!

As the next Transaction Services Assistant Manager, we are looking for someone who is sceptical and not afraid to challenge. You will be open-minded with a willingness to learn, as well as:

• ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent with experience in audit delivery
• Previous Transaction Services experience is not necessary but helpful 
• Be able to use your professional experience and judgement to know when to consult with colleagues
• Demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness, actively seeking and listening to feedback
• Someone who stays up-to-date with industry trends, accounting standards and relevant financial regulations
