We do things a little differently around here, we were one of the first accountancy practices to set up an alternative business structure to provide legal services to our accountancy clients. We like to think we are always one step ahead and we are looking for a business leader to take those steps with us.

 

As a corporate partner in Cooper Parry Law LLP (“CP Law”), you will be passionate about building relationships – both externally with clients and new prospects, as well as internally with the wider leadership and more junior team staff within Cooper Parry. You need to be adaptable and versatile to effectively oversee the delivery of assignments across your portfolio, in addition to supporting clients with complex queries and providing advice and solutions which are tailor-fit for their needs.

 

The role will focus on building relationships with our Cooper Parry colleagues and clients in the Midlands, who are primarily based in our Birmingham and Derby offices. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a challenge and to “get stuck in” to a role that has exciting growth plans.

About you...

You’ll be passionate about supporting your clients to help them deliver their services, taking the time to really understand their needs and the risks they face.

 

Given our exciting growth plans, we are looking for a partner who can maximise the opportunities in the Midlands, you’ll be able to identify legal opportunities in all areas and bring them to fruition, becoming a key member of driving our business forward to even greater success.

 

As the ideal candidate you will be/have:

 

  • A qualified solicitor with 10+ PQE, primarily within a corporate and commercial team, although a hybrid would also be considered.
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of OMB/SME clients;
  • Experience in managing client relationships and dealing with complex client queries;
  • Ability to manage to deadlines and lead/develop a legal team;
  • Confident and proven ability leading relationships with key client contract and team members

About us...

CP Law is currently a team of 7 fee earners all based in London who provide significant support to the firm’s clients. Given the firms overall ambitious growth plans, we expect to at least double the size of our legal business in the next 12 months  and importantly given our strength in the Midlands market would like to build   capability in the Midlands as part of our national legal practice.

 

Our business proposition is to serve the legal requirements of Cooper Parry and its clients as part of an integrated proposition supporting clients through the entirety of their business journey, covering areas of law such as corporate, commercial, or commercial property law.  The firm has a significant client base in the Midlands which we see as a major growth opportunity for CP Law.
