About the role...

Due to continued explosive growth and acquisitions across the UK, we’re looking for a brilliant, strategic and growth focussed Partner to join our Audit team in Manchester.

 

As an Audit Partner at Cooper Parry, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership of our audit practice. You will be responsible for overseeing audit engagements, managing client relationships, and ensuring the highest standards of audit quality and compliance.

 

A key focus of this role is to drive business growth by attracting new clients and expanding services with existing clients.

 

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of audit processes and regulations, as you will:

 

  • Develop and maintain long-lasting client relationships, taking time to really understand their business needs and providing tailored audit solutions
  • Lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
  • Mentor and guide a 100 strong audit team alongside 7 others in the leadership team made up of Directors and Partners; fostering a culture of continuous learning, support and professional development
  • Review and sign off on audit reports
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to growth and expansion
  • Identify and mitigate audit risks
  • Spearhead client advisory, providing valuable insights and recommendations

In addition to those core values, as an Audit Partner you will be/have:

 

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
  • Proven track record managing complex audit engagements, with experience working at partner level
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, who actively gets involved with mentorship
  • In-depth knowledge of audit standards, regulations and best practices
  • Ability to present complex information, clearly, concisely and get rid of the jargon
  • Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of business operations and financial management
