About the role...

Are you an expert in all things Treasury and looking for your next exciting contract? Have you worked in a fast-paced Finance function and loved it?

 

Our Finance team in the East Midlands are looking for a Head of Treasury to support them on a 12-month contract to cover for maternity leave.

Our Finance team have seen some amazing growth in the last few years, helping them take charge of the increased information flow to an increased number of stakeholders and suppliers, after some phenomenal acquisitions and with future growth in mind.

 

About the day to day…

 

As the interim Head of Treasury, you will own all treasury responsibilities including managing the group’s cash flow forecasting, the relationships with our banks & lenders, cash flow management to control interest costs, lead a team of two, oversee the bank & client account reconciliations, and drive the treasury process for our M&A activity.

 

Day-to-day you can expect to:

 

  • Manage the weekly cashflow forecasting model to support both strategic decision making and effective cash & interest management
  • Responsible for all debt facilities including interest calculations and covenant reporting
  • Own and build a strong relationship with the banks and financial institutions
  • Support the Head of Integrations with business acquisitions and integrations from a Treasury perspective
  • Efficiently gain access to acquired bank accounts ensuring a smooth integration for our acquired businesses, and working to streamline the quantity of bank accounts held by the group
  • Ensure compliance with client money regulations, reviewing the reporting on client accounts and leading on external regulatory inspections
  • Lead, coach and mentor a successful team of 2 (treasury accountant and treasury assistant)
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations
  • Oversee the bank reconciliation process
  • Complete ad hoc external reporting e.g. Economic Crime Levy, ERS returns
  • Support the reporting team with the provision of information for the external audit

 

As you will know, this role is more than just the duties above. We are also looking for someone who will drive continuous improvement in processes; be hands on in dealing with and owning adhoc requests whether from our investors, the Board or FD; be a learner at heart, continuously updating your technical knowledge.

As the interim Head of Treasury, aside from having Treasury experience, you will be/have:

 

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Superb analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Able to build strong relationships with top notch communication skills
  • Ability to work in a growing fast paced environment, being agile and enjoying the challenge that growth & change brings
  • Outstanding organization / time management skills
  • Bonus points if you have multisite experience
