About the role...

Cooper Parry are expanding our established Forensic Services team in Northern Ireland, and we’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support this growth.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and gain exposure to a wide range of forensic accounting cases. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Director by producing high-quality reports and assessing financial loss in high-value cases.

 

Although some prior experience withing forensics would be ideal, we are also open to someone with a background in other areas of accountancy, as long as they have the desire to learn and develop a career within forensic accounting.

 

About the day to day…

 

You'll get stuck into a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including;

 

  • Managing a varied portfolio of forensic cases, reporting directly to the Director and Partner Team
  • Assisting with claims arising related to personal injury and fatal accidents
  • Providing professional valuations of matrimonial assets, property and businesses;
  • Preparing business valuations and financial projection models
  • Assessing the potential impact on profitability, value or income
  • Conducting financial investigations in criminal and proceeds of crime cases
  • Compiling and analysing data for court proceedings and present as court-ready expert reports

This role would suit someone seeking a specialist career in forensic accountancy, combining investigative work with financial analysis, ideally you’ll;

  • Be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Have 3+ years’ experience in a professional practice environment
  • Have 1 years’ experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential)
  • Hold a diploma in Forensic Accounting and Investigation or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
  • Have strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing and presentation skills
  • Have experience managing a client portfolio
