About the role...

Are you an Anti-Money Laundering expert looking for your next challenge? Have you got an eye for detail and a knack for spotting things that don’t look quite right?

 

Our AML Compliance Team are looking for some help, and we’re currently seeking an AML Compliance Analyst to join them for maternity leave cover.

 

About the team…

 

Our Risk team play a pivotal role in protecting Cooper Parry and ensuring we maintain our regulatory compliance as the business grows. Their work is a fundamental part of ensuring we’re doing everything necessary to uphold the integrity of what we do.

They team is spread all other the country, so this hybrid role can be based from any of our office hubs (London, Reading, East Midlands, West Midlands, Manchester).

 

About the day to day…

 

You’ll be providing support to the business and the AML team, taking a leading role in all areas of AML with duties and responsibilities including;

 

  • Managing AML/Bribery training new starter process, adding on to systems, and monitoring completions
  • Managing and monitoring SmartSearch
  • Performing internal client audits and reporting findings to Senior AML Compliance Manager
  • Assigning and review/monitor completion of training, sending reminders and escalating to AML Compliance Managers, non-completion
  • Supporting AML Compliance team with onboarding, reviewing and approving new client set up.
  • Reviewing and monitoring Onboarding and Risk inboxes
  • Creating content for Risk and Compliance Teams page, supporting with sending updates and news.
  • Supporting with Practice Assurance visits
  • Monitoring and updating Politically Exposed Person (PEP)/Relative or Close Associate (RCA)/High Risk register
  • Supporting and consulting with Business Support team and Managers around client ongoing monitoring
  • Supporting with AML Compliance team projects when required

In addition to those core values, as an AML Compliance Analyst you should have;

 

  • A strong knowledge of AML and Bribery regulations (goes without saying!)
  • Effective communication skills, in order to build relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook)
  • Be able to work at pace whilst maintaining exceptional work quality
  • Proactivity and adaptability to the changing workload
  • Experience working on client onboarding for an Accountancy firm (ideally)
  • Knowledge of GDPR (would be handy but not necessary!)
  • Experience of document management systems
