About the role...

What stands you apart from the rest? Outstanding communication? Acting with purpose? Thinking outside the box and taking the team and client on the journey with you?

Based in our new Northern Ireland Office, this is an ideal role if you are looking for an opportunity that will provide broad exposure to compliance and advisory projects, work with an array of brilliant clients, scope to progress and lots of fun along the way.

We are looking for a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to come and join us. You will…

  • Own and manage a portfolio of clients, demonstrating project management skills with minimal day to day oversight
  • Build strong client relationships, putting our clients at the heart of everything we do
  • Support senior team members on engagements, frequently taking responsibility for many aspects of those engagements and consistently delivering to high standards
  • Be curious about all aspects of business, taking this through to understanding your clients really well and what’s important to them
  • Ensure proactive management of the compliance process where applicable (proactive communication internally & externally, ensuring that everything is up to date and delivered on time)
  • Take accountability for managing WIP/Fees/prompt billing and payment on your portfolio, with the support of the senior team when needed

We have growth aspirations to significantly increase the size of the Private Client business and we want you to join us on that journey and be part of something special.

The role will also be designed to help you grow and develop through your career journey. With access to a wide range of knowledge to help push yourself further - from Managers to Partners, the team are always happy to support you.

About you...

At Cooper Parry, we’re in it together. All we ask of our people is that they play all in. You’ll continuously strive to keep learning – whether you’re a trainee or a Partner – and you’ll be brave, stepping out of your comfort zone to tackle new challenges. Above all, be nice. A simple notion, but an irreplaceable part of what makes CP, CP.

In addition to those core values, as the next Private Client Tax Assistant Manager, you’ll have outstanding commercial acumen, always looking for ways to develop the team and business. Your drive to deliver the best alongside your determination for getting it right first time is what makes you stand out. Own it and back it!

You will be…

  • ATT qualified with experience working in a Private Client/Personal Tax focused role managing a portfolio of private clients
  • Ideally CTA qualified
  • Be a great communicator, excel at building solid, trusting relationships (both internally and with clients)
  • Demonstrate a strong commercial focus
  • Work off your own initiative with good project management skills
  • Be able to challenge and question how things are done, demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset
  • Have the drive to deliver the best with the determination to get it right first time
